PRESS RELEASE PR No: 030/BEI.SPR/04-2026 Jakarta – Continuing its strategic initiatives to strengthen Indonesia’s capital and money markets, PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (Indonesia Stock Exchange/IDX) has reached another important milestone in supporting the development of the Money Market and Foreign Exchange (PUVA) trading ecosystem in Indonesia. Following the successful approval of its Operational License as an Intermarket Electronic Trading Platform (ETP) Provider from Bank Indonesia (BI) on 28 November 2025, the Alternative Market Operator System (SPPA) has officially been available for use by PUVA Primary Dealers as a platform to submit Repo Quotation Obligations in the Secondary Market as of 1 April 2026. With this development, SPPA becomes the only trading platform in Indonesia capable of facilitating the submission of PUVA Primary Dealer Quotation Obligations for Repo Transactions, as well as quotations for Government Bond Primary Dealers and Sharia Government Securities Primary Dealers. The Repo feature on SPPA was first introduced to market participants in March 2025 and has received positive responses. Since its implementation, Repo transactions on SPPA have demonstrated strong performance, recording a total transaction value of IDR751.6 trillion in 2025, representing 27% of the interdealer market share. As of the first quarter of 2026, Repo transactions have continued to show solid growth, with total transaction value reaching IDR 215 trillion, equivalent to a 36% interdealer market share. Out of the 21 PUVA Primary Dealers appointed by BI, 13 have become SPPA service users and are actively conducting government bond Repo transactions on the platform. Interim President Director of IDX Jeffrey Hendrik stated that through synergy and collaboration among all stakeholders, SPPA makes Repo trading more inclusive, supports better price discovery, and enhances post-trade process efficiency. “The use of SPPA as the official platform for submitting Repo Quotation Obligations in the Secondary Market demonstrates that SPPA can serve as an efficient platform for PUVA Primary Dealers, both in improving liquidity and achieving better price discovery in the Secondary Market,” said Jeffrey. IDX expects all PUVA Primary Dealers to leverage the advantages and ease of fulfilling quotation obligations and conducting Repo transactions through SPPA. “We will continue to collaborate with regulators, associations, and market participants to foster a stronger financial market ecosystem in Indonesia, enhance liquidity, and promote deeper financial market development,” Jeffrey concluded. The role of SPPA as a platform for PUVA Primary Dealers to submit Repo Quotation Obligations represents an important part of Indonesia’s strategic agenda to strengthen the money market. With deeper liquidity and improved price transparency, SPPA is expected to further enhance market efficiency for the banking sector while also facilitating regulatory monitoring.
